Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our PMC practice in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee complex mechanical engineering projects, ensuring their successful execution from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate mechanical engineering aspects of large-scale projects in the oil and gas industry
Develop and review mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for mechanical engineering challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including civil, electrical, and instrumentation engineers
Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and compliance with local UAE engineering regulations
Perform quality control checks and approve mechanical engineering deliverables
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements in mechanical engineering practices
Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) license; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on project management consultancy
