Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the structural design of complex projects, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and innovation of our engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee structural designs for a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed use structures
Perform advanced structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs
Utilize cutting-edge structural analysis and design software to optimize project outcomes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and MEP systems
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the structural engineering team
Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards
Develop and review technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
Professional Engineering (PE) license required; Structural Engineering (SE) license preferred
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on complex projects
Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro)
Expertise in regional building codes and standards
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
Expertise in seismic design and analysis
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building standards
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
