Job Summary

Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a

Senior Causal Analyst to be based in our Aiken, SC location.

The Senior Causal Analyst acts as subject matter expert on the specific techniques to find apparent and root cause of problems and provides leadership, oversight and technical guidance to support planning and execution of causal analysis teams. Compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting programs and processes. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable standards. Supports department level causal/performance assurance analysts across the organization with training and guidance to achieve company, customer and governmental agency reliability objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, expertise and support for Causal Analysis and Corrective Action programs

  • Acts as subject matter expert on the specific techniques to find apparent and root cause of problems

  • Reviews conclusions of causal analyses submitted for inclusion in final reports

  • Develops program performance reports that identify such items as company and program level compliance with requirements, corrective action program trends, and identification of programmatic improvements

  • Contributes to the resolution of noncompliance situations through collaboration with other organizations (e.g., Engineering and Maintenance)

  • Performs assessments, surveillances and oversight activities to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements

  • Identifies opportunities for improvements in processes and procedures

  • Mentors and trains organization’s department level analysts to maintain current knowledge on process improvements and best practices

  • May provide other support such as procurement, including the support of Management Review Teams, Review Boards, audits, and assessments

  • Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 7+ years of experience in an analytical role comparable to the responsibilities of the position (e.g. Corrective Action Programs, Performance Improvement Processes, Assessment activities and/or Causal Analysis techniques to support Nuclear Facility Operations quality programs) OR;

  • High School Diploma/GED and 11+ years combination of education and/or experience in an analytical role comparable to the responsibilities of this position (e.g. Corrective Action Programs, Performance Improvement Processes, Assessment activities and/or Causal Analysis techniques to support Nuclear Facility Operations quality programs).

  • Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must be a US Citizen

Additional Information:

The selected candidate must successfully pass necessary training in root cause analysis within first 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Excellent technical writing skills

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior management and customers/clients.

  • Experience working at a DOE site or commercial nuclear or other complex industry

  • Root Cause Analysis certification/training

  • Knowledge in the theory and application of assessment and audit techniques and practices. Demonstrated experience in leading root cause analysis (or equivalent causal analysis processes) teams.

  • Experience with Corrective Action Management Systems

  • Proficient with office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
