Job Description
AECOM is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Specialist to join our onsite team in the Intermodal Division at the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). This onsite, embedded staff role will support the management and administration of contracts related to transit operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while facilitating efficient project delivery.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and intergovernmental agreements to support the Transit Program.
Compliance Oversight: Work with GDOT Legal and Intermodal Administration to ensure all contracts comply with GDOT policies, state laws, and federal regulations, including grant agreements and funding requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, legal counsel, and financial teams, to facilitate the execution of contracts and resolve any issues that may arise.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track contract performance, including deliverables and milestones, and prepare regular reports on contract status and compliance metrics.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with contracts and recommend mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program objectives.
Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to project staff on contract management processes and best practices.
Documentation: Maintain organized records of all contract-related documents and correspondence in compliance with state record-keeping requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum:
BA/BS Business Administration, Contracts or related field
2 years of Contract Specialist experience or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred:
Experience with transportation transit programs such as state DOT agencies.
Blackcat Transit Management System experience or similar applications
Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications
Effective communication both written and verbal.

Relocation is not an option for this position
Visa support is not an option for this position
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00.
