How you’ll make a difference:

As a graduate project engineer, you'll be mentored by industry experts while gaining hands-on experience in the design and delivery of transmission line projects. You'll be involved in:

  • Supporting the concept and detailed design of transmission lines using industry-standard tools such as PLS-CADD.

  • Assisting with structural assessments and designs of towers and poles using Excel, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE.

  • Learning to design various foundation types, including grillage, direct-embed, and pile foundations.

  • Contributing to design reports and project documentation.

  • Participating in site visits and inspections to see your designs come to life.

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive:

We know not everyone has years of experience – that’s okay! What matters most is your enthusiasm to learn and grow. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A recently completed or soon-to-be completed degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • A strong interest in transmission line design and a desire to work in the energy infrastructure sector.

  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., PLS-CADD) is a plus, but not essential – we’ll train you!

  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.

  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset and a passion for solving real-world engineering challenges.

Additional Information

Why you’ll love working with us:

  • Flexible work arrangements, including alternative start/finish times, part-time, job-sharing and hybrid work options.

  • Continuous learning and growth - lunch and learns, professional development courses, financial study assistance, 5 days paid study leave, global career opportunities.

  • Share purchase plans.

  • Flex public holidays – swap Easter or other holidays for ones that suit you better.

We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, additional health or mental health needs, and/or neurodiverse conditions. If you require any adjustments during the hiring process, please let us know.
