AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the
EAGLE contract for a
Employee Relations Specialist . The Specialist
assists in developing and implementing standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training plans related to Employee
Conducts investigations into employee and government compliance complaints.Provides relevant coaching, counseling and training for Senior Managers, Managers and Supervisors. Identifies and implements continuous process improvements within the function.
Ensures Employee Relations compliance with established Company and Government requirements. Ensures timely response and resolution of employee and government compliance complaints across the program. Reviews recommendations for employee disciplinary layoffs or employment terminations. Compiles and presents relevant data to the Theater HR Manager. Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
NACI /Tier 1 for US Citizens and PCC for Non US Citizens
HIPAA certification required
Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.
5 years of Human Resources or Employee Relations experience required.
Experience in the handling and investigation of both employee and government compliance complaint required.
Must have strength in multi-tasking while practicing data integrity and document quality.
Must be able to influence without direct authority through building effective partnerships throughout the organization
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees.
Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
Must be able to exercise discretion, good judgment, and solid decision making skills.
Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel & PowerPoint.
Must have the English language speaking ability to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in the individual's special field.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
