  • Supporting the teams to follow our procurement processes, to ensure that we’re buying ethically and efficiently whilst respecting clients’ needs and timescales.

  • You’ll learn how we develop sourcing strategies and select and vet suppliers, and you’ll go on to implement that learning day to day with the teams.

  • After training, you’ll also start to support the teams in contracting suppliers, using our standard forms of contract.

  • You’ll also be responsible for engaging our supply chain, and for working with them to deliver our commitment to leaving a Sustainable Legacy, and to being a Net Zero business by 2040.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills

  • Keen attention to detail, particularly when reviewing commercial and legal offers from suppliers

  • Ability to see the bigger picture and understand how procurement contributes to strategic business priorities

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with the team

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement or a related field

  • Familiarity with procurement software systems, such as Coupa or similar

  • Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices

  • Understanding of contract law and commercial terms

  • Experience working in a global or multi-regional business environment

Personal attributes:

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

The successful candidate will initially be based mainly in our Midlands office, with opportunities to work 1-2 days a week from home. As you grow in the role, you'll have the chance to develop within our Europe and India Regional Procurement team and contribute to our global procurement function.
