Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Architecture Designer II to be based in Boston, MA.
AECOM's Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with senior architects and project managers to develop innovative design concepts and solutions.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information for project planning and design.
Create and present design proposals, including 3D renderings and physical models, to clients and stakeholders.
Prepare specifications, reports, and related data tables.
Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to financial and scheduling constraints.
Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design ideas effectively.
Contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture plus two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Architecture degree preferred
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, or other 3D modeling software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Enscape, or other rendering software.
Enrolled in NCARB Architectural Experience program (AXP), formerly Intern Development Program (IDP) and actively seeking state Architecture Registration.
Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC.
Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices.
Ability to clearly communicate with clients and peers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong technical skills related to visualization, planning, and architectural design.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be able to work closely with and collaborate with multidiscipline design team.

Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00.
