The Role

We are looking for Graduate Mechanical Engineers to join our Building Services and Resources & Industrial teams.

Building Services

Join our Building Services Team specialising in planning, designing, monitoring and the inspection of HVAC systems. You will have the opportunity to work across diverse projects in various sectors such as Defence, Data Centres, Space, Commercial, Hospitals, Highways, Rail & Metro, and Airports, whilst complying to industry and governmental standards.

As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will develop skills in:

  • Managing and designing heating, cooling and ventilation demands.

  • Managing and designing energy-efficient HVAC systems using sustainable solutions for reduction energy consumption.

  • Evaluation and inspections of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standards.

  • Developing reports, and technical findings for clients and stakeholders.

  • Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

Resources and Industrial

AECOM is a leading engineering consultancy with the R + I group specialising in the Resources and Industry sector. We provide innovative and sustainable solutions to mining operations worldwide, helping our clients enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Our team of experts collaborates on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of mining.

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team of consultants. This role offers hands-on experience in the mining industry, working on diverse projects involving mechanical systems design, equipment analysis, and process optimization. You will be mentored by industry experts and gain exposure to various facets of mining operations and mechanical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems used in mining operations.

  • Conduct technical assessments, calculations, and simulations to improve mining equipment performance.

  • Support project teams in feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical reporting.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.

  • Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
