Job Description

AECOM is looking for a Quality Coordinator. Reporting to the Quality Lead (Construction), supporting the Project Quality Lead by preparing, organizing, and maintaining quality-related documentation, such as inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.

This is a 12-month temporary contract position with the potential for extension, based at a client site

Role Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate on-site inspections and testing of materials, equipment, and construction activities.

  • Assist in identifying and documenting any deviations from quality standards, supporting the Quality Lead in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

  • Track the status of non-conformance issues and follow up on resolutions to support continuous quality improvement

  • Potentially provide support to the Quality Lead (Corporate) on internal and external quality audit preparation, implementation and reporting

  • Technically supervises quality projects or major phases of significant quality projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned project.

  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge to the completion of significant quality assignments.

  • Develops and applies advanced quality assurance/control theories, as well as research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems on the forefront of new technologies.

  • Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods of approach, as well as organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.

  • Reviews project process and evaluate results.

  • Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.

  • Makes frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.

  • Conducts investigations and tests that are of considerable complexity.

  • Provides technical consultation to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in Quality Management across infrastructure programmes of significant size and complexity, preferably within construction

  • Post secondary degree or certification in construction, engineering or technical

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of designing and implementing quality management strategies and process improvement practices across large programmes and multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience in auditing, reporting and implementation of subsequent corrective actions

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the engineering / construction sectors

  • Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and guidance to support project delivery and reporting.

Additional Information

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $130,000.00.
