Are you ready to lead a team of talented engineers and shape the future of water infrastructure?
Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Engineering team as a Civils Team Leader in our rapidly growing Exeter, Bristol, or Cardiff offices, as well as taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model. At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of innovation, delivering an exceptional portfolio of water programs and projects through long-term partnerships with key clients. These include major UK water companies such as Wessex Water, Welsh Water, and South West Water, along with contractors and international projects. In this role, you will lead all aspects of water utility projects, encompassing both wastewater and potable water schemes, primarily under key client long-term frameworks. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to lead a talented, diverse team committed to innovation and efficiency.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Oversee: Ensure the successful technical delivery of essential wastewater and water infrastructure/treatment projects. Guide a team of approximately 10 civil engineers to provide valuable solutions to client challenges throughout the design lifecycle.
Provide Expertise: Offer technical knowledge and expertise to the design team on all aspects of civil projects, from conceptual phases to implementation.
Ensure Quality: Review and verify calculations, technical reports, drawings, and models to ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and procedures.
Collaborate: Work closely with clients and AECOM counterparts to secure stakeholder buy-in for solutions, while contributing to AECOM's broader technical capabilities and innovative approaches.

Qualifications
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Experience in designing and managing the technical delivery of water and wastewater networks and treatment projects from feasibility and outline design to detailed design and construction support.
Strong collaboration and coordination skills between teams, clients and stakeholders.
Commercial awareness with experience in monitoring and control of engineering budgets.
A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject.
Chartered Engineer Status (or approaching chartered status).
