Position Title Procedure Writer

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a
Procedure Writer to be based in our Carlsbad, New Mexico location.
The successful candidate will analyze, design, and develop administrative, technical, and engineering work process documents in support of a nuclear operating facility. The candidate will follow the facility writer’s guide regarding format, order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. The candidate will be required to use advanced techniques to gather the information needed to generate new or revised engineering procedures. The candidate will be responsible to evaluate requested/proposed changes to procedures, research technical requirements with adherence to regulatory requirements and writer's guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of experience, or
Associates degree with seven (7) years of experience.
Two (2) years of technical writing at a DOE facility or commercial nuclear facility is required.
Must be proficient with use of Microsoft Word (formatting, tables, headers and footers).
Advanced level writing skills, strong vocabulary, and grammar are critical to the success of this position.
Knowledge and familiarity of Engineering procedures and policies such as WP 09 Conduct of Engineering, WP 09-CN3007 Engineering Change Notice, and the COG List is required.
Due to the nature work, candidates must be US Citizens.
- Previous WIPP experience is preferred.
