Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an experienced

Senior Human Resources Generalist in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Human Resources Manager. The successful candidate will perform the duties of a Human Resources Generalist, and will also support various departments within Human Resources as assigned by the Manager of HR including Benefits Administration, Compensation and Recruiting, Labor Relations, Organization Development. This position will also be assigned as project manager over various department projects as needed. This is a professional position and is not an administrative position. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate positive leadership qualities. Duties will include but will not be limited to coaching and counselling managers through employee relations issues, assist in or perform investigations, prepare for and participate in negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with two separate unions, perform classroom instruction in support of management and professional development programs, any other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or other related field plus six (6) years of relevant experience, or

  • Six (6) years demonstrated progressive growth in responsibilities as shown by employment history in industrial relations, human resources, or supervisory/management positions.

  • Must have demonstrated attention to detail.

  • Must be able to exercise a high level of independent judgment.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

  • Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Other human resources generalist experience such as salary planning, employee relations, labor relations and human resources database administration is desired.

  • Previous DOE project experience or commercial/government nuclear facility experience preferred.
