Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Engineer III to join our well established and growing Environmental Remediation practice in New England. As a key member of our remediation group, candidate will be working on rewarding projects throughout New England and the United States within a diverse culture and having access to exceptional training and career development opportunities.

AECOM is searching for candidates with experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering. This is a great opportunity for highly motivated engineers to build on your career while helping address the region’s key environmental and engineering challenges.

The job responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as project engineer on mid- to large size projects.

  • Provides geotechnical expertise for studies and design efforts.

  • Provides oversight and/or direction for geotechnical field investigations.

  • Develops complex technical solutions for clients.

  • Depending on level of experience, performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.

  • Participates in development of technical proposals.

  • Develops technical skills in the area of geotechnical regulatory, planning, design and construction phase projects.

  • Coordinate with diverse project teams.

  • Depending on level of experience, may serve as a project manager and attend client meetings.

  • Work with Senior Leaders to grow the regional Geotechnical practice.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS in Geotechnical, Civil, Marine or Environmental Engineering or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

  • Ability to travel to client sites and regulatory agencies

  • Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Marine or Environmental Engineering

  • 5+ years of related project experience in Civil, Geotechnical, Marine, or Environmental Remediation Engineering design or construction projects.

  • PE or ability to obtain PE within 1 year

  • Progressive engineering and project management experience.

  • Experience with Civil and/or Geotechnical Design Software

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification.

  • Experience and confidence to work independently to produce high quality deliverables on time and on budget.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,000.00 - $165,000.00.
