Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to be based in Columbia, SC .

This position is expected to begin in Fall 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supports project managers in execution of all types of water/wastewater, and water resources related design and construction projects.

  • Provides construction inspection and related construction administrative services.

  • Performs CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of a project manager.

  • Provides permitting and grant management support.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

  • Supports construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.

  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.

  • Resourceful, highly organized professional with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Effective time-management and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.

  • Proficient with GIS, CAD, and design software (ArcGIS, Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley Design Suites, Revit, etc.).

  • Ability and desire to travel to project sites, both local and remote.

  • Hydraulic modeling experience.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Columbia, SC. The selected candidate must be available to work in Columbia, SC on a scheduled basis.

  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00.
