Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to be based in Columbia, SC .
This position is expected to begin in Fall 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supports project managers in execution of all types of water/wastewater, and water resources related design and construction projects.
Provides construction inspection and related construction administrative services.
Performs CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of a project manager.
Provides permitting and grant management support.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Supports construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.
Resourceful, highly organized professional with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Effective time-management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
Proficient with GIS, CAD, and design software (ArcGIS, Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley Design Suites, Revit, etc.).
Ability and desire to travel to project sites, both local and remote.
Hydraulic modeling experience.
Additional Information
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Columbia, SC. The selected candidate must be available to work in Columbia, SC on a scheduled basis.
Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $75,000.00.
