Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Supervisor / Trainer to be based in Columbia, South Carolina.

The routine responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Technical development of initial and recurrent training programs related to Control Room Operations

  • Design and implementation of a formal, multi-level position certification program to include updating as new materials require inclusion

  • Administrative management of staff training files

  • Preparation and delivery of reports on training status and results

  • Design and implementation of an operations employee performance auditing program

  • Implementation of an employee award and recognition program based on the successful completion of initial and recurrent training programs

  • Training facilitation to include materials development, curriculum design, and delivery

  • Perform operator quality control audits

  • Perform reviews and updates of SOP materials

  • Assist in major event response planning and real-time management, including incident response plans for major public events, severe weather anomalies, and evacuations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a staff trainer; including development, facilitation, and tracking of training needs across a region of operations.

  • Experience in training program development and administrative management

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including the ability to learn additional applications (ATMS, MS Power BI, etc.)

  • Technical writing skills to include grammar editing and content flow.

  • Innovative approach to training program design and delivery

  • Public speaking and presentation skills

  • Time management experience

  • Drivers’ License in good standing

  • Radio dispatch and/or customer service communications experience (preferred)

  • Flexible schedule (training relates to a 24/7/365 operation)

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $50,000.00 - $80,000.00.
