Job Description

AECOM is seeking a dynamic and experienced EHS Growth Leader to join our EHS & Air Practice within the Environment Business Line. Our team provides innovative solutions to help a diverse range of federal, state/local, and private clients navigate EHS regulations and achieve sustainable compliance solutions.

Our successful candidate will be responsible for driving EHS business growth, developing new client relationships, and expanding our market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in environmental/EHS consulting and a proven track record of business development. This hybrid opportunity can be based in any of our Western state locations within AECOM.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement growth strategies to expand our client base and market presence.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the EHS consulting sector.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.

  • Lead and manage EHS proposal development and contract negotiations.

  • Manage large and strategic program to ensure successful delivery.

  • Collaborate with internal EHS teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for EHS growth.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in environmental consulting, with a focus on business development and growth.

  • This role will require some travel to client sites, which may include both local and national locations. Candidates should be prepared for travel up to 25% of the time, depending on client and program needs.

  • Valid U.S Driver's license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in environmental science, engineering, business, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of previous environmental consulting experience focused on growth and business development functions.

  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing growth strategies.

  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, policies, and industry trends.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $230,000.00.
