Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assist Resident Engineer - Dry Utility to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support the Resident Engineer in overseeing dry utility projects, ensuring efficient design, installation, and maintenance of electrical, gas, and telecommunications systems.

  • Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of dry utility projects

  • Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations

  • Collaborate with contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities

  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, progress reports, and technical documentation

  • Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution

  • Support the Resident Engineer in managing project budgets and resources

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control measures

  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management

  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for dry utility engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in dry utility engineering or a related field

  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and GIS

  • Strong knowledge of dry utility systems, including electrical, gas, and telecommunications

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE

  • Experience with utility design and installation processes

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong technical report writing and communication abilities

  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques

  • Understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle management

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs
