Job Description

Are you eager to launch your career in transport planning and contribute to shaping the future of transportation in the Middle East? Join our Transport Planning team as an Intern Transport Planner , where you’ll gain hands-on experience working on innovative projects that enhance urban mobility, sustainable transport solutions, and infrastructure development.

About the Role

As part of our Transport Planning team, you will contribute to major urban development and infrastructure projects across the Middle East. You will learn from the team in preparing Traffic Impact Studies, Multi-modal Transport Master Plans, and Traffic Engineering solutions. The team specializes in Development Planning, Sustainable Travel, Road Safety, Pedestrian Modelling, and Public Transport Scheme Development/Appraisals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Support: Assist in developing designs, calculations, sketches, and diagrams to support transportation planning projects.

  • Data Analysis: Conduct research, analyse data, and prepare reports on transport modelling and planning.

  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project teams, track milestones, and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Technical Development: Learn and apply transport planning software such as Synchro, SIDRA, and GIS .

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support communication with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Education: Pursuing a Civil Engineering Degree.

  • Expected Graduation: 2026 (final-year students).

  • Eligibility: As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
