Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Utilities Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and managing utility systems for various projects in the region. This position requires a strong background in engineering principles, utility regulations, and project management.
Develop and implement comprehensive utility plans for water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, civil engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of utility infrastructure in construction projects.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal utility solutions for new developments.
Design utility systems using advanced engineering software and tools, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Analyze and resolve complex utility-related issues, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Coordinate with local utility providers and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Oversee utility installation, relocation, and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates for utility projects.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in utility engineering to improve efficiency and sustainability.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
Minimum of 8 years of experience in utility engineering or a related field
Strong knowledge of utility systems, including water, electricity, gas, and telecommunications
Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach
Strong project management abilities, including budgeting and scheduling
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
In-depth understanding of utility regulations and standards in the UAE
Experience with utility design, planning, and relocation activities
Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in utility engineering
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
RTA Approved
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East
Knowledge of sustainable utility practices and renewable energy integration
Proficiency in both English and Arabic
