Job Description
Role description
As a Project Manager, you own the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects. You will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver planning projects.
You will have a background in building planning and design project management and experience in the delivery of a range of multi-disciplinary projects from the public and private sectors in Germany. You will be familiar with working in large, cross-regional multidisciplinary teams on projects at all stages of the project lifecycle including development from feasibility to detailed design and construction.
Responsibilities:
Project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and contract management
Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project
Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources
Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews
Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team
Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified and acted upon
Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
Mentorship of junior project managers
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Academic or vocational qualification in a relevant technical or project management discipline. Engineering or Architectural background preferred
Experience in managing large architecture and planning projects in Germany. Minimum 5 years
Proficiency with regard to German market requirements and regulations such as HOAI, VOB
Experience in managing large delivery teams from different geographies
Full contractual proficiency in German and English languages
3 days per week office attendance in Essen
Occasional travel to project sites and clients' offices
