Position Title Maintenance Operations Manager

The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for all maintenance operations.
Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.
Adjusts resources to meet production requirements.
Assigns adequate supervisory coverage for each shift.
Manages the special certification roster (SCR).
Ensures accurate daily documentation of maintenance actions.
Reviews and evaluates management and production effectiveness. Analyzes personnel and equipment performance history using QA reports. Initiates management actions to meet new workloads or correct reported/perceived deficiencies.
Manages the maintenance planning cycle.
Ensures only qualified personnel accomplish maintenance with the appropriate equipment and tools.
Ensures compliance with safety directives, appropriate occupational safety and health standards, and applicable industrial safety publications. Those occupational training requirements that require documentation will be annotated on the appropriate records.
Establishes procedures to minimize foreign object damage and dropped objects.
Ensures PRDs, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance actions are entered and completed in the MIS. This includes maintenance performed in support of maintenance squadron flights.
Advises the production supervisor of conditions that may disrupt the orderly and controlled execution of the maintenance plan.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 50 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
Must have at least 10 years of direct supervisory experience in a setting involving the Maintenance of Army Materiel and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures dealing with Army Materiel Maintenance Management.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the logistics LIS in use and must have the ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services as required.
Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills are required.
Position may require travel.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Management is preferred.
