Job Summary

MUST HAVE SECURITY CLEARANCE

This position is in support of the Distribution and Warehousing Service Contract, DLA Distribution Hill, Utah. Supervise, coordinate, assign duties, provide leadership and review the work of assigned staff and/or contracts for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities :

  1. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

  2. Issues written and oral instructions as state in JSA's and SOP's.

  3. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

  4. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

  5. Maintains harmony among workers.

  6. Prepares reports from individual reports of subordinates

  7. Adjusts errors and complaints.

  8. Visits areas to insure all safety precautions are being implemented.

  9. Knowledge of DSS, MIS and other storage/packing/receiving data bases

  10. Reviews all work order, labor time sheets and material requests for accuracy before submitting to work control for action.

  11. Operates MHE as assigned and holds appropriate license.

  12. Provides guidance to deliver efficient work procedures, work schedule and workflow.

  13. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but not limited to; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Minimum Requirements

MUST HAVE SECURITY CLEARANCE

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum two years of experience in the Warehouse/Packing. Must have related experience and/or training.

Additional requirements :

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.

  2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  3. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  4. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  5. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  7. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  8. Ability to communicate at all levels effectively before management, customers and employees involved in organization.

  9. Ability to make sound decision and strong interpersonal skills while representing the company in a positive manner at customer meetings.

  10. Must be able to meet physical requirements associated to performing daily assigned tasks.

Must be available for any shift. Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Candidates must have a valid Driver's License.

Position will require the ability to pass a pre-employment drug-screen and a government background check.

Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
