AECOM is actively seeking Surface Ship Corrosion expert, S-CAT Certified, experience in CADET, in support of Southeast Regional Maintenance Center, Jacksonville, Florida.
Conduct U.S. Navy ship corrosion assessments, hull, tanks, and voids. Document results in various Navy maintenance databases
Conduct assessment of U.S. Navy ship coatings and preservation systems
Provide technical expertise eDFS documentation.
Support TSRA and INSURV assessment of U.S. Navy ships’ hull, tanks, and voids; coatings and preservation systems.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for preservation system and corrosion assessment.
Ship Corrosion Assessment Team Member
Ship Yard Competent Person – understanding of Gas Free requirements.
Must have a minimum of six (6) years of “journeyman level” experience within the last ten (10) years in each and every area (1) through (3) below, unless otherwise specified:
(1) Independently or leading a team accomplishing formal material condition assessments (Ex. TSRA, ICMP, INSURV or similar) of U.S. Navy ship’s systems.
(2) Communicating the findings of the above troubleshooting/assessments with official reports.
(3) Use of the following, or similar, workload databases: Microsoft Office products, Navy Maintenance Database (NMD), minimum of read access rights on Electronic Departure From Specifications (eDFS), Navy Ship’s Engineering Drawing Repository (NSEDR) and TAAS-Info.
Six (6) years of journeyman level experience for every task listed below within the last ten (10) years:
(a) Assessment and oversight of repairs of U.S. Navy ships' coatings and preservation systems.
(b) Interpreting US Navy ship engineering drawings relating to ship’s arrangements and preservation systems.
(c) Demonstrated experience with the use of Corrosion Control Assessment and Maintenance Manual (CCAMM). Note:
six years experience not required for this task.
(d) Certification card from the NACE-International Shipboard Corrosion Assessment Training (S-CAT) course. NACE is the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
Possess a current Secret Security Clearance
Possess recent Ship Yard Competent Person certification
Capable of obtaining a Common Access Card
S-CAT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
