Job Description
AECOM Buildings + Places, AECOM's Architectural Design practice, is seeking a Landscape Architectural Manager to help grow and lead our Landscape Architectural team. This role could be based out of either our Kitchener or London, ON offices, with opportunities for hybrid work.
AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.
Major Responsibilities:
Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for the landscape architectural group.
Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
Plans and develops landscape architectural tasks concerned with unique problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
Maintains liaison with business line units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field of landscape architecture.
Manages group of landscape architects and/or designers, coordinating activities of the landscape unit within the Buildings and Places Business line.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
University Degree in Landscape Architecture + no less than 8 (eight) years minimum of relevant experience in Landscape Architecture.
Holder of Ontario Association of Landscape Architecture (OALA) designation.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture an asset.
Extensive, progressive experience in landscape architecture.
Experience in project management, comfortable with coordinating projects that touch multiple disciplines including civil engineering and environmental, dealing with financials, scheduling and work planning.
Experience in business development.
Excellent communications skills for interfacing with clients.

Relocation is not available for this position.
Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $140,000.00.
