Job Description

We are currently recruiting for the role of Senior Assistant with experience in Hydraulics and Drainage design, to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our clients work for private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering water designs for many years, throughout the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand among others. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for Enterprise Capabilities.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Sets standards and procedures for CADD and modeling works.

  • Performs self-checks of work products before submission and participates in quality control reviews of documentation from equally or less experienced staff.

  • Assigns and coordinates tasks to other technical or administrative staff, mainly related to drafting.

  • Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work reviewed by senior or experienced engineers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulics and drainage (H&D) design, with a clear interest in developing a technical career in this field.

  • Proficiency in Civil3D or OpenRoads Designer, including setting up standards and creating pipeline alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading, and operations with surfaces.

  • Experience with hydraulics and hydrology software packages such as HEC-RAS/HMS, StormCAD, Infoworks ICM, 12D, etc., is well considered.

  • Fluent in English (oral and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field.
