Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Construction Laborer for immediate employment in the Upstate New York area.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities
Duties may differ depending on the specialty area
Activities may include setting up and operating equipment; inspecting equipment; inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications; maintaining project documentation; assisting with the building, repair, or maintenance of a structure or roadway
Relies on general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish moderate goals
Works under direct supervision
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Position requires using an AECOM provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for AECOM company business.
Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including dusts, noise, chemicals, and vibration.
Position requires frequent (more than 50% of workday) standing/walking; often (25-50% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping, operation of vehicles, and lifting of less than 25 pounds; occasionally (10-25% of workday) working with arms above shoulder level, power gripping/squeezing (hand tools, levers, etc.), operating heavy, moving or dangerous equipment, working in an environment of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment, and lifting of 25-50 pounds; rarely (less than 10% of workday) performing work at heights, climbing stairs, using portable ladders, work in confined spaces, keyboard/mouse operations, repetitive or fine hand movements, and lifting of 50-75 pounds.
Position will include wearing all associated personal protective equipment as assigned, including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes/boots, hard hat, and hearing protection.
Must participate and adhere to various safety training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 + years of experience
In site stabilization, MCP, dredging, construction oversight, PCB’s landfill capping, demolition

Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $18.58/hour - $32.51/hour.
