Job Description
The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Discipline Lead for our Louisville, KY office.
The qualified candidate should have in-depth experience in the analysis and design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, collection systems, and conveyance, as well as experience in project management and client relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to focus on technical design, client business growth, project delivery leadership and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water design projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides technical leadership for a specialty and is considered to be a fully capable professional in their field.
Working with senior members of our Water Business Line team to seek new municipal business opportunities.
Managing projects, including scoping, task management, invoicing and final closeout.
Planning, scheduling, conducting/coordinating detailed phases of engineering work of a major project, or several small-moderate scope projects.
Supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables.
Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
12+ years of design experience related to Water treatment and/or conveyance.
PE license in the state of Kentucky or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Experience working on municipal projects.
Experience and familiarity with the following programs is preferred: ArcGIS, SWMM, and/or Storm/Sewer/WaterCAD, ATF Fathom, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Experience working with local clients in the Louisville area region is a plus.
Proven interpersonal skills, including client interaction, public speaking and persuasive ability; strong project financial management along with ability to work in and work towards leading a multi-disciplined team.
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,004.00 - $203,508.00.
