Job Description
AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Electrical Engineer in High Voltage and MV Power Supply to join our team in Madrid.

We are currently recruiting a Electrical Engineer in High Voltage and MV Power Supply
Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment. May involve the installation and operation & maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
Here is what you will do:
During all the stages of a project, contribute to design development, design risk and mitigation and value engineering, regarding power system distribution in medium voltage of a railway line.
Take the responsibility on some parts of the projects in the development of the MV design.
Produce technical reports and technical specification for the equipment and installations.
Development of electrical studies for the analysis for the sizing of the system:
Load flow studies, short-circuit, voltage drop and motor starting.
Power quality studies.
Protection coordination studies.
Arc flash analysis.
Grounding calculations.
Lightning protection studies.
Space proofing design for the MV design installations, including cable routing design.
Attend design team meetings and defend/justify the design in front of the client or independent reviewers.
Liaise with BIM/CAD modellers for production of drawings.
Ensure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of design work in order that successful project implementation and future reliability is achieved.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Experience in design of medium voltage distribution systems.
Electrical Engineering background.
Power calculations (load flow, short circuit, grounding).
Preparation of technical specifications.
Protection systems. Selectivity and coordination of MV protection systems.
Software: ETAP, Autocad.
Understanding of any other railway systems is an advantage but not required.
Strong competency in written English and oral communication is required.

Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
