Job Description
We are looking for a Railway Telecommunications Engineer with 10 years of experience to be based in Madrid.
He/she will work on the delivery of projects providing support to the senior staff in the design of Communications and SCADA systems and engineering services to the project deliverables.
Main duties:
Provide basic support in the development of telecommunications and control Systems architecture, specifications, design criteria and bill of quantities.
Confirm compliance with the relevant standards in the destination countries.
Develop the system drawings (layouts, schematics, details, etc.) in all stages of the design life cycle.
Help with the definition of internal and external interfaces coordinating with other disciplines.
Help with the preparation and coordination of space proofing requirements for civil packages supported by lead coordinators.
Help with the development of main equipment rooms and cable containment layouts drawings.
Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work being reviewed by senior or experienced engineers.
Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Technical knowledge in railway or transportation telecommunications and control systems principles and technologies of:
Data Transmission Network
SCADA
Operation Control Centre
Data Center
Automatic Fare Collection
It will be a plus to have technical knowledge of other subsystems as:
Video surveillance system
Access Control and Intrusion Detection System
Public Address and Voice Alarm
Radio System (WIFI, GSM-R, TETRA, 4G, LTE, 5G)
High level in English. Valuable Italian or French.
CAD, Microstation and BIM skills.
Expectations to grow his/her skills within this area of technical knowledge.
Curious about developing engineering tasks in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams to gain international project working experience and, at the same time, to increase railway systems expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Telecommunications Systems Engineer.
