Job Description
AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist - Airports to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga.
We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate BIM requirements across multiple disciplines, including Architecture, MEP, Data, Structure, and Asset Management, while planning standard development.
Support the establishment of governance and processes for BIM implementation throughout the program.
Organize and lead BIM coordination workshops.
Assist in developing model templates encompassing structural, interior, and exterior architectural elements, as well as MEP systems for in-house projects. Facilitate laser scanning of existing spaces when necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements.
- University Degree + 4 years of experience with technical construction drawings and/or documents.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered, for example a College Diploma + additional years of experience.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with technical construction drawings and/or documents, experience as a BIM Lead/Supervisor/Manager is a strong asset.
Proven experience with enterprise-grade document and construction management systems, preferably Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Maximo, and SharePoint.
Proficiency in BIM design software, ideally Autodesk Revit.
Experience with CADD and GIS technologies, such as Bentley MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and ESRI ArcGIS.
Strong familiarity with computer hardware and standard office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops for large groups.
Additional Information
This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $120,000.00.
