Job Description
Reporting directly to the Canada Program Management Regional Business Line Leader (RBLL), the Director of Program Delivery will lead the oversight, execution, and continuous improvement of program delivery across all major programs in the region. This role is critical in ensuring delivery excellence, alignment with the AECOM Way of Program Management and AECOM global PgM vision and standards. The Director will also support growth initiatives, talent development, risk mitigation, and act as a visible leader both internally and with clients. More specifically, the role will focus on the following:
Implement standard program delivery practices across the entire program lifecycle
Oversee effective program initiation for all new programs, to include ensuring a capable initiation phase leader is appointed and an effective initiation approach, mobilization and resourcing is in place for each program start up
Provide risk, safety, and commercial management advice and support to programs
Build and assign a team of high-quality program controllers to each major program
Drive and ensure effective use of PgM digital delivery systems on all major programs
Monitor and report on major programs across the region
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.) and/ or Project or Construction Management plus 12+ years experience in major infrastructure programs, including 4+ years of leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success delivering at least one major infrastructure program as the lead Program Director/Manager in the past seven (5) years.
Proven capability in successful contribution to the pursuit of commissions for major programs and leading teams on the delivery of major multi-disciplinary programs.
Ability to form collaborative and trusted working relationships with clients for program management services on major programs including clients and contractors.
Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate inputs and outputs between multi-disciplinary teams to deliver coherent integrated solutions.
Ability to take a “hands-on approach” to resolve complex detailed problems.
Strong understanding of technical and design solutions would be beneficial
Significant technical delivery capability in the design and construction of complex infrastructure projects, specifically major programs.
Ability to coordinate work across geographies, sectors, and within a matrix-led organization. Ability to reach back and form relationships with technical teams across a range of geographical locations.
Continually contribute to harmonious client relationships at the program level.
Serve as an effective technical leader capable of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for complex programs.
Understand the stages of the program life cycle including start-up, execution, and handover of major programs.
Capability to successfully deliver program management services under different forms of contract including joint ventures.
Record of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders such as utility providers, and other commercial and public sector stakeholders.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $145,000.00 - $245,000.00.
