Job Description

Aecom Mississauga is hiring a Workforce Planning Lead.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify optimal capabilities, roles and responsibilities, and required competencies for key roles necessary to deliver project outcomes.

  • Support the delivery of a competency assessment to identify current staff fit to future project needs and any required staffing needs for key roles.

  • Build upon the CPG 5yr recruiting plan to develop a resource forecast for FTEs based on estimated attrition, retention, and retirement rates to support succession planning and staffing needs.

  • Build upon and develop career progression pathways, mentoring frameworks and other employee growth support strategies within IPDT to support staff retention.

  • Influence the development and implementation of staffing and deployment plans throughout the entire lifecycle of ECWE, helping teams to identify the right people at the right time and at the right cost.

  • In collaboration with MX, develop recruitment plan for resourcing gaps.

  • Liaise with core IPDT team, cross functional departments and regional teams to ensure effective resourcing, mobilisation, induction and integration, training, onboarding and offboarding strategies are implemented across the project.

  • Ensure regular contact with team members within the project to ensure career path alignment and personal development.

  • In collaboration with Metrolinx develop a succession plan framework which supports the development and career progression of existing talent, identifies and addresses areas of risk.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline: business, human resources, etc.

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in project management, business operations or HR management with experience including taking responsibility for workforce planning / talent acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally 10+ years experience in project management, business operations or HR management with experience including taking responsibility for workforce planning / talent acquisition.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management position

  • Strong project management skills and experience delivering strategic resourcing projects

  • Comfortable in the use of data to drive strategic staffing decisions

  • Ability to analyse and produce innovative solutions to complex staffing challenges

  • Able to demonstrate a high level of organisational ability, capable of pivoting and re-prioritising to meet changing program needs and deadlines,

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Experience creating, supporting, and leading the delivery of resourcing strategies

  • Excellent organisational skills; be able to multitask and re-prioritise to meet changing needs and deadlines,

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,000.00 - $135,000.00.
