Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented Program Manager Train Control Systems to join our World Class Rail Team in our New York, NY office. This position will have the opportunity to work on projects to include Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Positive Train Control (PTC), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Solid State Interlocking (SSI), Cab Signaling and/or conventional signaling systems.
Oversight and management of systems projects relating to train control, traction power, communications, in working railroad environment
Ability to coordinate closely with clients, contractors, and project partners
Lead the planning, design, construction, and testing & commissioning activities of transit/rail systems infrastructure
Work with representatives of the various rail operators and other stakeholders to manage the clarification, development, documentation and reporting of the technical and program interface deliverables across multiple disciplines
Establishment and implementation of clear management plans and approaches to support the adoption of Systems Engineering practices, and controls across all our clients Work Projects.
Foster and drive an integrated approach to the design, construction and commission planning across the team and external inter-dependent projects
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements;
BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
10 years’ experience with the management and implementation of train control projects specifically CBTC & PTC.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineering license (NY, NJ).
15 years of experience of design, construction, testing and commissioning of Train Control Systems and Equipment with an Engineering Firm, Transit Authority or Signaling Equipment Manufacture.
Experience with train control systems for one or more of the following: commuter rail, subway, freight, and light rail systems
Experience managing/lead designer for signal projects from conceptual design thru to final commissioning.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $175,000.00 - $260,000.00.
