Job Description

AECOM is expanding its dynamic Civil Infrastructure business in Newcastle and are looking for an experienced Civil / Transport Engineer to join our team.

We are looking for someone who wants to set their career on a new trajectory by delivering a wide range of major infrastructure projects while establishing and building existing client relationships.

Working with a high performing team of engineers, scientists, designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery, you will be supporting the team in winning, managing and delivering projects across a diverse range of transport and civil infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on town centre works and medium scale road projects in urban and rural areas.

This role is tailor-made for an individual who is passionate about developing into a future leader, who loves working with people and has the passion to mentor and lead teams aligned with AECOM’s vision to build a better world.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical design and leadership on multi-disciplinary project teams in delivering concept designs, detailed designs, and assessments across transport and civil infrastructure projects.

  • Being proactive to deliver high-quality and timely technical outputs that meet client expectations

  • Contributing to our high-performing, engaged and supportive team culture

  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues to foster learning and knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

Qualifications:

As a Principal Civil / Transport Engineer, you will be engaged, excited by project delivery and the successful integration of varied specialist and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

What are we looking for from you?

  • Extensive years of relevant consulting experience on Civil Transport Infrastructure projects within a design (including design & construction) environment.

  • Design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution. Demonstrated experience working to TfNSW standards.

  • Working knowledge of related disciplines including civil, rail, drainage and geotechnical engineering.

  • Project management experience and a commitment to exceptional client service.

  • The confidence to utilise your reputation in bringing business to AECOM through networking and delivering high quality work.
