Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking Communications (Antennas) Technicians who demonstrate in-depth knowledge of navy communication (COMM) systems by way of training or experience in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. HF/VHF/UHF LOS Communications Antenna Systems

  2. High Frequency Communications Systems including

  3. Very High Frequency Communications Systems

  4. NAVMACS Systems.

  5. Tactical RF Communications Systems.

  6. Tactical RF Link Systems.

  7. Shipboard Wireless Communications Systems.

  8. Tactical Amphibious Communications Systems.

  9. Miscellaneous Communications Systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ full-time hands-on technician level experience within last 10 years in assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation, test and repair of Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems and equipment.

  • Specialized experience: A minimum of two (2) years full time hands-on technician experience within last 5 years in assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of shipboard Combat ASW, USW, MIW or C4I systems.

  • Lightweight Broadband HF Communications Antenna Series (LWCA).

  • HF aluminum and fiberglass whip antennas and antenna systems.

  • VHF antenna systems including, but not limited to, AS-2809, AS-3226, AS-4366.

  • UHF LOS antenna systems including, but not limited to, AS-390, AS-1735, AS-4163.

  • Position requires the ability to work onboard US Navy ships and access ship repair industrial facilities.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires an active Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Common Access Card.
