AECOM is actively seeking a Engineering Technical Expert to provide program support assistance with the scheduling and administration of the SURFACE force INSURV program. The position will be located at Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Naval Station, Norfolk, VA.
Essential Responsibilities :
Assist in coordinating INSURV inspections prior to the inspection scheduled start date.
Verifying ship’s INSURV visit schedule and tasking for approved inspections.
Serve as technical point of contact between MARMC Code 200 technical codes and INSURV.
Assist in tasking MARMC Code 200 technical codes for INSURV Visits, which includes receiving/downloading schedules, setting up PRISMS laptops, receiving and reviewing the tasking matrix, preparing naval clearance messages, generate JPAS, and provide reports as required.
Assist in requesting support from other support providers, (other RMC’s, ISEA, Naval Shipyards, etc.)
Act as the MARMC Visit Coordinator onboard ships within MARMC’s area of responsibility.
Attend Monthly INSURV meetings as required
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least ten (10) years of job-related experience.
Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Position requires travel
Position requires a Confidential Security Clearance.
General Experience: Desired: Ten (10) years’ experience within the last 20 years in the operation, repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion machinery, electrical distribution or ordnance systems. A minimum of four (4) of the years should have been in a position of team leader or coordinator over a subordinate work force involved in the physical maintenance and repair of US Navy mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment and systems.
Specialized Experience: Desired: Four (4) years’ experience within the last 10 years with 600 psi or 1200 psi steam propulsion, diesel propulsion or gas turbine propulsion and ancillary equipment.
At a minimum two (2) of the years should have been in the administration of the Navy 3-M and supply system, OR
At a minimum four (4) of the years should have been in auxiliary and deck machinery
The specialized experience should demonstrate the individual’s ability to:
Work independentlySupervise technical personnel in performance of operation, maintenance, modification and repair.Provide on the job training to technical personnel in the operation, repair and maintenance (including use of equipment)
Prior MARMC support experience
Be familiar with MARMC technical codes equipment requirements
Experience in the use of TASS-INFO
