AECOM has a contingent opening for Data Entry Clerk I in Okinawa, Japan
This position performs data entry duties related to hazardous materials (HM) and hazardous waste (HW) operations, which includes verifying data against HM and HW documents, shipments, containers, etc.
Must meet security clearance requirements.
Enters hazardous materials (HM) and hazardous waste (HW) transactions into designated databases/systems. Documents and logs data elements and generates reports as requirement by site management.
After a thorough review of available inventory, issues materials against customer orders.
Creates inventory, prints labels for inventory, processes transfers and manages storage locations.
Verifies hazardous materials and waste data HW container manifests, enters data into HMMS, updates HW container log, and provides HW labels to HW operators.
Prepares required documents for review by HW manager, updates profiles, and updates designated database when as HW containers are relinquished or assigned delivery orders.
Researches and resolves frustrated material within 5 days of arrival, with assistance from the Material Expeditor/3PL PM.
Updates databases/systems with HM and HW information, generates reports for tracking purposes and site management use.
Documents and tracks workload activity and provides to management for analysis.
Maintains, updates, revises and distributes SDS's for material.
Serves as a customer service point and assists customers with inquiries.
Processes and follows up order payment and delinquencies.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Must be a United States Citizen or acceptable proof of naturalization prior to employment.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training including a demonstrated knowledge of PCs and ADP hardware and software applications and supply and inventory operating systems (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) required.
Must be able to accurately input, correct, and/or retrieve from the various automated systems.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and have the ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
This position has a rotating shift and will be subject to shift changes, weekend, holiday and overtime work.
Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training can be required in order to meet daily/weekly workload requirements.
