Job Description

AECOM has a position available for a Senior Project Architect to join our Buildings + Places team in Orlando, FL. In this role you will be responsible for your own projects!

The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.

  • Generally, requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of building architecture engineering.

  • Plans and develops architectural tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems.

  • Technical expertise to design complex, multidisciplinary projects in a firm that handles both private and government work

  • Maintains liaison with teams and management within the organization outside of the organization.

  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field.

  • Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects, fostering professional development and contributing to a positive office culture.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, urban planners, landscape architects, and interior designers, to ensure integrated design approaches.

  • Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Must be a Licensed Architect in the United States

  • Previous Client facing experience

  • Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of relevant architectural experience is preferred

  • Previous Architectural experience in Florida is helpful

  • Previous experience designing large complex buildings in sectors such as hospitality, municipal buildings, sports architecture, civic, healthcare, justice, education, transportation, or public infrastructure.

  • NCARB certification

  • Previous experience identifying new clients/work is helpful

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $96,000.00 - $145,000.00.
