Job Description
AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Inspection Manager for immediate employment out of AECOM‘s Pittsburgh, PA Office. Supervision of project inspectors on construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, lead service line replacements, small diameter water main replacements and sewer repairs or rehabilitation for Pittsburgh Water, Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) and other significant water utilities in the Greater Pittsburgh region.
Responsibilities of the Construction Inspector will include:
Manage a team of Inspectors who are monitoring construction activity for compliance with contract documents, applicable codes and industry standards.
Review, interpret and understand contract documents, submittals, RFI’s and change documents.
Review construction drawings, specifications and shop drawings.
Inspect construction materials, workmanship, and installation of various systems.
Inspect and manage quality of documentation provided by inspectors to include:
Daily contractor pay item calculations.
Monthly pay application quantity tracking.
Maintenance of nonconformance log.
Change document review and posting.
As-built and record drawing maintenance.
RFI review.
Meeting attendance and participation.
Perform material takeoffs, and assist in negotiation of equitable contract adjustments.
Demonstrate an understanding of safety practices in the construction industry, including a background of familiarity with OSHA safety requirements on construction projects.
Monitor daily field safety.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree + 6 Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
OSHA 10.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience inspecting the construction of Water infrastructure.
Experience with Electronic Project Management Software such as eBuilder or EPM.
Master’s degree
EIT certification
OSHA 30

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $105,000.00.
