AECOM System Administrator in Point Mugu, California

Position Description: AECOM is seeking a senior systems administrator in support of NAVAIR efforts in Point Mugu, CA. This position is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer server systems. Conducts analysis on legacy applications to determine required resources, dependencies, and risks in transitioning system to a consolidated data center. Plans system transitions, builds servers, hardens server OS, incorporates government security patching, assist in installing and testing of applications, and transition of system into a sustainment environment. Works with database specialist to transition data from legacy to consolidated data centers. Seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of computers meet the needs of the users, without exceeding the budget. Other duties may include project management for systems-related projects and documentation of system architecture.
Minimum Requirements (including education): Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
Must have at least ten (10) or more years experience in respective field
IAT II Level certification or higher (Security +, CISSP, CASM, CEH, etc)
Possession of an ACTIVE SECRET security clearance s required to begin employment; US Citizenship is required.
Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to appropriately apply a methodology to projects that have reasonably well-defined project requirements and deliverables
Proficient in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint
Ability to successfully complete drug testing based on contract requirements.
Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders.
Self-motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.
Professional oral and written presentation skills
Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Last five (5) years of experience being involved in SPAWAR/NAVSEA/NAVAIR communications
