Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Marketing Proposal Specialist to work in collaboration with the East Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including expressions of interest (EOI), requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), and pre-qualification efforts.

This will be a remote position that can be based in, but is not limited to: Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC; Coral Gables, FL; Tampa, FL; Orlando, FL.

Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with large proposals and able to lead small to medium proposals (cross regions or business lines), and support from capture through to interview stage, as required.

  • Under limited supervision or general direction, coordinate/complete content and information for qualifications and proposals, including schedule, templates, compliance, content plan and production. Provide conceptual leadership for document design. May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.

  • May facilitate color reviews (such as pink and red team), and apply lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.

  • Participate in go/no-go and green light analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.

  • Complete internal debriefs for proposals and review debriefs and client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.

  • Apply solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).

  • Liaise with appropriate/relevant business line team, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support or develop marketing information (including but not limited to case studies/project sheets and capabilities summaries).

  • Provide guidance to entry-level proposal team members

  • Perform a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approval

  • Support special projects as required, including providing guidance to entry-level proposal team members.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and support proposal activity or a demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.

  • A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation strategy development and compliance, and writing and production.

  • Experience producing submittals in response to RFQ/RFP documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field preferred

  • Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry

  • InDesign software experience

  • Understands marketing and communications concepts

  • Prior experience working within the AEC industry

  • Strong written communication skills

  • The ability to recognize, process, and present written information

  • Proficient in MS Office (current version): Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent writing skills, with an aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to produce accurate, compliant and compelling work independently and with others.

  • Organizational, writing/researching/editing, and time management skills

  • Strong organizational aptitude and attention to detail

  • Ability to operate within a team setting

  • Understanding of CRM Salesforce is a plus

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $90,000.00.
