Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership :
Lead and manage the theming engineering and construction process of the theme park.
Ensure that all architecture projects align with the company’s vision, operational requirements, and guest experience goals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and creative teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
Design Management :
Develop and implement architectural designs that enhance the park's thematic elements, functionality, and guest experience.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and zoning regulations.
Team Collaboration :
Work closely with creative directors, engineers, and planners to bring concepts to life.
Lead theming teams and supervise consultants, including architects, designers, and structural engineers.
Provide mentorship and development opportunities for the supervision team.
Project Execution :
Oversee the construction and installation phases, ensuring quality control and adherence to the design intent.
Address any architectural issues that arise during construction, providing solutions in a timely manner.
Conduct site visits to ensure that work is progressing as planned.
Stakeholder Management :
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and marketing, to ensure architectural projects support the broader business objectives.
Present architectural plans and progress updates to senior leadership and executives.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Education : Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, or a related field.
Experience :
20+ years of experience in architectural design, with a significant portion in large-scale entertainment, theme parks, or resort projects.
Proven track record in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects from concept through completion.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and ADA requirements.
Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications : Licensed Architect preferred.
