Job Summary

AECOM is looking for an Asset Specialist to join our team in (Rosslyn, VA) Arlington, Virginia! The successful candidate will join a dynamic team supporting IT operations for a large federal customer in Arlington, Va.

The IT Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the tracking and control of physical IT assets in the infrastructure and is accountable for the management of all information technology assets throughout their lifecycle. They will be responsible for asset management tasks supporting government contract, and for verifying those deployable assets in the Asset Inventory System match the deployable physical assets in stock. This includes ensuring that the assets are managed and controlled according to requirements for security, inventory, intellectual property, compliance, usage and disposal.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • At least 1+ years supporting asset management experience

  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products

  • Experience in a hardware asset analyst/manager role

  • Must be able to move/lift boxes of computer equipment not more than 50 pounds

  • Demonstrated ability to manage an asset inventory and reconcile data, ensuring high levels of accuracy

  • Strong interpersonal skills, requiring a balance of assertiveness, tact and diplomacy

  • Works well independently and on teams

  • Must have a strong willingness to take initiative and drive change

  • Strong organizational, oral and writing skills

  • Ability to quickly and accurately assess needs of demanding business clients

  • Ability to deal with complex difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties

  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules on a short-term and long-term basis

Active Secret, TS eligible clearance required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
