Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Special Systems Inspector for a remote role of which can be done anywhere in the United States.
This position will be responsible for assisting the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Project Manager (PM) in coordinating advanced field investigations, contributing to constructability/VE reviews, and field investigation. Once construction starts, responsibilities may shift to allow the work to progress efficiently, and shall be directed by the SME and/or PM. Under direction of the SME and/or PM, candidate shall oversee field work and provide liaison between the contractor and other entities. There is a potential for off-hour work shifts.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Attending meetings to interface with construction teams and design teams
Providing Quality Assurance on contractor installations
Participating in commissioning activities
Generating daily reports
Reviewing submittals and design documents
Overseeing the following systems and other systems as directed: Low Voltage communication cabling (copper and fiber), voice paging systems, 800Mhz radio system, DAS – Distributed Antennae Systems, Common Use Passenger Processing systems, Building Automation systems, Dynamic Signage, Access Control Systems, CCTV, Perimeter Intrusion Detection systems, Network & Wi-Fi, VoIP, and Parking Guidance and Parking Revenue Control Systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience. Active membership in technical/professional organization is desirable.
Experience: 6+ years of related experience, including field experience on large scale, airport related projects.

Self-starter and highly motivated
Demonstrated abilities in coordinating and managing multiple stakeholders
Able to take on additional tasks as the project requires
Demonstrated skills in developing cooperative working relationships
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of computer systems and their applications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Responsive to changing demands
Strong ability to work under pressure
Thorough familiarity with MS office suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Explorer.
Experience with PMWEB software is desirable.
Additional Information
Must pass drug and alcohol screening and TSA background screening for airport badging.
A valid Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain eligibility under the Authority’s Authorized Drivers Program.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $145,000.00.
