Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resident Technical Officer (Mechanical & Electrical) to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the mechanical and electrical systems of our project:
Good co-ordination skills and good technical knowledge of M&E systems/ equipment, including security systems
To carry out regular site supervision and inspection of the works/materials including any off-site production as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that mechanical and electrical works, including security systems, are constructed to required quality, accuracy and workmanship
To monitor work in progress in accordance to Approved Master Schedules with breakdown to Monthly, Weekly and Daily programmes
To assist the RE on daily, weekly and monthly reports of site progress as per contractor’s approved program, activities, issues and resolutions
To check and verify reports, variations and progress claims submitted by contractors, including as built quantity for the variations
To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the SO and RE.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance or facility management
Proven experience in overseeing construction projects, particularly in M&E systems and security systems
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to M&E systems
Experience with quality control processes and methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, and team members
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
