Job Description

With continued growth across QLD, the Resources and Industrial (R&I) team have opened an opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with demonstrated mining, heavy industry and industrial experience to help drive the technical outcome for a range of projects from the South Townsville office.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Manage electrical components of projects across all phases of the project lifecycle including feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement assistance, site construction and commissioning.

  • Collaborate with skilled engineers across a range of diverse projects within resources / industrial, transport, water and buildings.

  • Provide technical advice on local sustaining capital projects and studies whilst contributing to workshare projects with lager metropolitan offices on ‘city changing’ projects.

  • Mentor, develop and guide junior engineers whilst playing an active part in growing your team in size and capability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree.

  • Proven engineering / design experience within mining, local government or heavy industry sectors.

  • Exposure to the design and specification of industrial systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications, safety systems and motor controls.

  • Proficient in producing engineering documentation such as technical specifications, datasheets, reports and scope of works.
