Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director for our Ports & Marines to join our team in Sydney, Australia. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in marine infrastructure projects across the region.
How you’ll make a difference:
Lead and deliver large-scale, technically complex structural engineering projects for ports and marine infrastructure, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
Provide strategic technical direction and leadership across project lifecycles, mentoring engineers at all levels to support capability development and succession planning.
Ensure rigorous compliance with local and international maritime codes and standards, while proactively managing risk and safety considerations.
Build and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-impact engineering solutions.
Champion innovation in structural design, drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes, and represent the company as a thought leader through industry publications, conference presentations, and professional forums.

Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive:
Extensive experience in structural engineering, with recent experience in ports and marine projects
Recognised qualification (Associate Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering Technology or Similar).
Proven project management and design experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
Track record of technical expertise delivering Ports and Marine projects.
Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, particularly in marine environments.
