Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Landscape Architect Designer for immediate employment to help grow our Buildings + Places design team in our Tampa office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects.

  • Perform field reviews and analysis of project sites and study areas and prepare written documentation of observations and conditions.

  • Work under supervision of a licensed landscape architect, project manager or senior-level team member.

  • A good knowledge of design process, conceptual thinking, and detailed design/construction document knowledge, well organized and attention to scheduling requirements.

  • Knowledge of construction materials and techniques, including detailing.

  • Ability to plan and organize multiple projects and effectively work with other Landscape Architects, Engineers, Architects, Designers and Technicians.

  • Effective time management is an inherent trait expected of all candidates.

  • Understand Quality Control coordination and practice structure and be able to comply with company standards.

  • Ability to maintain regular office hours and participate in company functions where appropriate

  • Domestic travel may also be a potential.

  • A strong focus on studio relationships is an important aspect of our studio and the candidate should be confident, friendly, and willing to work with all staff levels..

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or other related field from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited university program.

  • Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or other related field from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited university program.

  • Experience in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) 2019 or above, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

  • Demonstrated experience with design and drafting software including but not limited to Lumion, InDesign, SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino. Proficiency in other software is advantageous, such as Bluebeam Revu, ArcGIS.

  • A positive attitude and desire to partner with a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.

  • Professional Certifications: Membership in Professional Association in USA (ASLA).

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $25.00/hour - $29.00/hour.
