Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Subject Matter Expert to provide support for Federal Bureau of Prisons Sentry System. The position will be based at the FBOP Office building located in Washington D.C.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Interacting with and advising senior managers and technical staff

  2. Building and assisting in the build of support software for the FBOP SENTRY system

  3. Planning, Maintaining, upgrading software

  4. Researching, evaluating and testing Legacy and COTS software and hardware

Minimum Requirements

  • BS Computer Science

  • 10 years’ experience with Federal Bureau of Prisons, five of which were with their SENTRY system

  • Through understanding and knowledge of MVS COBOL, JCL, INTERCOMM, TSO/ISPF, IDMS, DB2, WebSphere and FBOP SENTRY System

  • Secret Clearance or ability to get Secret may be required

  • Position may require up 25% travel.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to interact with and provide technical guidance and advice managers and staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or computer related field

  • Proven ability to perform and lead development and technical efforts on the FBOP SENTRY system

  • Programming/Developing building and maintain major software systems

  • “SENTRY System”, IDMS, DB2, WebSphere, CICS, DB2, Windows, JCL, COBOL
